I know it has been a while and we are almost starting to meet for the 2010 fashion remix show. But before that happens, I didn’t want to leave you without the links to different websites from the photographers at the event. Proceeds for photo sale will go to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Once again, what an amazing outcome for the first year. The bar is set high and I can’t wait to get started for next year.
More exciting news to share… just 4 days before the event. Local news reporter Casey Scott from Channel 2 will be the Master of Ceremony for our event.
Casey was born and raised in Utah. He grew up in Ogden and attended Ogden High School, where he was a famed break dancer and enjoyed diving and football. He then attended Utah State University where he majored in broadcast journalism. While at USU, he was Vice President of the Inter-Fraternal Council. After five years and a world class hangover, he headed to Salt Lake City to begin a career in radio.
Casey was a part of the Chunga and Mister Show on 101.9 the end for nine years. He eventually grew tired of wearing tights and costumes and decided to pursue a reputable career in television. You can now seem him every morning asking the tough questions on 2News Fresh Air.

Since most of the Fashion students and interior design students, who are working with a team are coming from the Salt Lake Community College and are a tremendous help to this event, passing on the following information is important.
Amanda R. has applied for a nationwide scholarship through SOLVAY Pharmaceuticals. She is a finalist in the competition for a college scholarship from the Solvay Scholarship program based on her creativity, academic excellence, community involvement and ability to serve as a positive role model for those with Cystic Fibrosis.
Those applying for the scholarship, must be diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Cystic Fibrosis presents extraordinary health burdens for patients and financial challenges for their families.
Currently, she is the second finalist out of forty competing for the total scholarship of $17,000. You can help her win by voting for her; there are three ways to vote on the website right here.
Voting process ends on Oct. 15th ‘09.

It doesn’t happen every day that you get to see a fashion show life!
Teams, don’t forget your first appointment with Dexterity for hair and make up. tomorrow. Tuesday Sept 22nd, 8:30-12PM (individual appointments are in 15 minute increments).
Models to have their first meeting with a group of Dexterity stylists to discuss their teams concept for the show. Each model should be prepared with sketches & photos of the hair and make-up they are envisioning to help the stylists understand what type of feeling/concept they’d like portrayed. Teams should have any hair accessories created by this time so Dexterity can plan for unique attachment methods that may be needed.
The stylists and salon are generous enough to be donating their services so please be prompt and prepared for your time slot. The salon will begin seeing clients at 12:00/noon sharp so it is important that each person is on time!
